Why I ran 26 miles with 8 weeks of training

Do 1 brutal thing each year and the rest of the year becomes easy.

In partnership with

Hey ,

I just finished my first marathon…

I did it in under 4 hours with 8 weeks of training.

It was brutal. I couldn’t feel my legs after mile 20…

My brain and body kept telling me to quit.

I absolutely hate running.

But when I crossed the finish line, I realized something:

If you do one brutally hard thing every year, the rest of the year feels easy.

After running 26 miles, lifting weights feels like a day off.

After running 26 miles, working on my business feels like fun.

That’s the rule of doing one hard thing every year.

It resets your scale of difficulty.

It makes discipline feel natural.

I want you all to realize that anything is possible.

I don’t just post inspirational quotes I take action and speak from experience.

So my challenge to you:

Pick your “hard thing” and get it done before the year ends.

Something that scares you and forces you to grow.

Because if you conquer that one mountain…

The rest of the year is just small hills in comparison.

A lot of people keep asking me how to build an online audience.

Here’s my best piece of advice:
