Preparation isn't progress
You’re living around the work, not in it.

My life changed when I realized something brutally simple:
Nothing improves until you do the work.
Not thinking about it.
Not planning it.
Not researching it.
Not waiting for the right time.
Just doing it.
For years I convinced myself “I was working on myself.”
I was listening to podcasts.
Reading self improvement books.
Making big plans.
Optimizing routines.
It felt productive…
But nothing was actually moving.
Because I was just preparing to do the work.
And preparing to do the work… isn’t doing the work.
The Brutal Truth
Preparing to do the thing isn’t doing the thing.
Scheduling time to do the thing isn’t doing the thing.
Making a to-do list for the thing isn’t doing the thing.
Talking about the thing isn’t doing the thing.
Reading about the thing isn’t doing the thing.
Thinking about how great it’ll feel once you’ve done the thing isn’t doing the thing.
The only thing that counts…
Is doing the thing.
The Perfect Conditions Won’t Come
Alex Hormozi said it perfectly:
“Instead of spending time getting in the mood to work… just start working. Confront the work.”
People wait for the perfect moment to start.
For motivation.
For better timing.
For less stress.
Those conditions don’t come.
Starting is the perfect condition.
The mood follows action.
Not the other way around.
Do the Work. Then Track It.
If you’re serious about your goals, stop preparing.
Write down the daily habits required to reach your goals.
Then track them EVERY single day.
Because when you track the work, there’s no illusion.
You either did it - or you didn’t.
If you want the same habit tracker that I use daily get it below:
P.S. What are you “preparing” instead of doing? Reply and tell me.
