5 years of sacrifice for 50 years of freedom
Time will pass either way. Make the days count

Hey ,
This week, I asked a simple question to a few people over 50:
“Did the last 30 years go by fast?”
Every single one of them said yes.
They are all still working jobs they hate.
That hit me hard.
If the last 30 years went fast for them…
Then the next 5 years is going to pass even faster.
So I had thought.
If 5 years is going to pass anyway, why not use it to change everything.
5 years of sacrifice can give you 50 years of freedom.
5 years of taking risks, chasing discomfort, getting into shape, and chasing your dreams can create a life worth living.
But 5 years of comfort?
That’ll cost you 50 years of regret.
You can choose which pain you’re willing to live with…
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.
Because either way the sun is going to rise and set every single day.
What you do between then is up to you.
The thing is, the pain of discomfort is temporary.
But the pain of regret is permanent.
The feeling of waking up at 50 to a job you hate should scare you.
Because it scares me.
That thought of knowing I had the power to change my life, but chose short term comfort over long term freedom.
So let me ask you again…
Which pain are you willing to live with?
Talk soon,
Lewis
